Webpage Prompt AI Privacy Policy

Overview

Webpage Prompt AI is a local Chrome extension that helps users generate AI-ready webpage design prompts from webpages and screenshots. Version 1 does not use AI APIs and does not send webpage content, screenshots, or prompts to a backend service.

Information The Extension Accesses

When the user opens the extension and chooses an action, Webpage Prompt AI may access the active tab title, URL, visible DOM structure, computed styles, layout geometry, and screenshots captured by the user. This information is used only to generate prompts and screenshot references inside the extension.

Local Storage

The extension may store settings, prompt session data, screenshot metadata, and captured screenshot data locally using Chrome extension storage. This data remains on the user's device unless the user copies, downloads, clears, or removes it.

Clipboard And Downloads

Clipboard and download actions happen only when the user clicks the relevant buttons. Copy Prompt copies prompt text. Copy Screenshots copies screenshot images. The extension does not automatically upload, share, or transmit this data.

Data Sharing

Webpage Prompt AI does not sell personal data, does not create user profiles, does not require an account, and does not share user data with third parties.

Third-Party Services

Version 1 has no backend service and no AI API integration. Any AI tool usage happens separately when the user manually pastes exported prompts or screenshots into their chosen tool.

Restricted Pages

The extension does not analyze restricted browser pages such as Chrome internal pages, extension pages, developer tools pages, or Chrome Web Store pages.
